This course provides an integrated approach to the study of physiologic, anatomic, pathologic, medical, and therapeutic concepts related to advanced acute/subacute cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation practice of the adult patient. The course presents rehabilitation clinical decision-making in the context of examination, evaluation, intervention, and progression. This course also provides a comprehensive study of how outcome measures can be utilized in the rehabilitation setting to assist with case management, discharge recommendations, assessment of deficits, and progression of the treatment plan. Clinician’s will learn the purpose of tests, how to conduct tests, equipment and training required to complete tests. Finally, this course provides didactic information on advanced topics in the management of the acute cardiovascular and pulmonary patient. Content is based on evidence and is designed to allow direct application to the Practitioner’s clinical practice.
